About Dr. Ephraim Ovitsh

Dr. Ephraim Ovitsh is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with extensive experience in women’s healthcare, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and medical education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, graduating cum laude in 1986, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College in 1992.

Education & Medical Training

Dr. Ovitsh completed his postgraduate residency training at Saint Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center of New York. Upon graduation in 1996, he was awarded the Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Award, recognizing his excellence in minimally invasive surgical techniques and patient care.

Academic Leadership & Professional Recognition

Committed to advancing medical education, Dr. Ovitsh served as Assistant Residency Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center of New York until 2004. He also holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ovitsh has received numerous honors, including the Medical Student Education Award from New York Medical College, the Resident Teaching Award from the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the Teacher of the Year Award at Saint Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center of New York.

Dr. Ovitsh has been board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1999. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), reflecting his dedication to excellence in women’s healthcare and surgical practice.
